1,000,000 Free Skill Points in EVE Online
An EVE Online account signed up through a recruitment link gets a million skill points on top of the usual starting skills. In training time that is roughly twenty days you do not have to sit through — and unlike training, you choose where the points go.
The link on this page is a recruitment link of this site's author. It costs you nothing and changes nothing for you — the bonus is the same as with any other recruitment link. We mention it because a referral link should be named as one.
What the recruitment program gives
CCP's own wording on the invite page: the account gets alpha status and can play for free, and as a bonus receives 1,000,000 skill points that can be spent on any skills you choose, saving about twenty days of training.
- Alpha status — the free tier. You can play without paying, with a limited set of skills and ships.
- 1,000,000 skill points — an unallocated pool. They are not tied to a particular skill: you decide what to inject them into.
- About twenty days of training — that is what a million points is worth at typical early-character attributes.
Who can use it
A new account, or an existing one that has never claimed this bonus before. So if you already play but signed up without a recruitment link, the million is still available to you. One account gets it once — it does not come a second time.
And if you want to bring somebody in yourself, send them a recruitment link of your own: EVE has a program for exactly that, and both sides get something out of it.

Where to spend a million skill points
Unallocated points are most valuable where training is slow and the payoff is immediate. For a trading character that means the skills which cut fees on every single order: Broker Relations lowers the broker fee, Accounting lowers sales tax. They pay for themselves on every trade, forever, and they work the same for an alpha as for anyone else.
If you have not decided what to do in the game yet, the making ISK guide lays out the usual starting paths, and the station trading guide covers the one that needs no ships and no combat at all.
What the skill points do not solve
A million points is a head start, not a shortcut past learning the game. They will not give you ISK, standing or an understanding of the market — and in trading the last one decides everything. Skills shave fractions of a percent off fees; picking the wrong item costs far more than that.
That is what the tools here are for: station trading shows current spreads with your own fees already in the math.
